The Maternal Line gives the T-BAS its starting point.

From there the T-BAS moves to the Sires and their Pedigree Bloodlines as our KEY breeding direction

Why choose the Sire and its Pedigree?

01

A Sire can have up to around 150 chances each season to build a profile. A Mare only has one.

02

Its common sense to accept that a Sire will only be given 100+ mares per season if there are high expectations that he is expected to be a great Sire because he was either great on the track or his pedigree/history is of high regard.

03

If a Sire produces around 50% winning progeny each season, giving a rough figure of 75 winners and a 10% Black Type progeny each season, thus around 15 per annum or breeding season, the Sire is considered a great success.

One the other hand, a mare produces 1 foal per season, and if she does not produce great returns in her first three seasons, she can be retired from stud duties. A brilliant mare such as ZENYATTA has been released from stud duties as her progeny produced nothing on the track, but was she sent to the RIGHT sires? We are anxiously awaiting the progeny of WINX and hopingly she was sent to the RIGHT sires.

04

Selecting the Black Type progeny of Broodmares from all over the world gives one a global perspective of the Mare and Sire's combined potential.

05

The fame in horse racing is based on QUANTITY. The top Sire is selected by Total Stakes won. The top Stud Farm is based on Stakes won by the Sires featured on the farm. AEI is a very valuable stat, but with very little effect.

Therefore, the T-BAS database gathers Black Type progeny from every prime racing country in the world.

Looking at a flat map of the world, our database gathers from Canada in the left top corner to New Zealand in the right bottom of the world and from Japan in the right top of the world to Chili in the left bottom of the same world map and every country in between. This way man has little chance to manipulate the natural ability of the racehorse.

It is so important to:

Breed RIGHT with RIGHT and the future can be BRIGHT!!
